Austrian Airlines needed to reorganize and redesign their existing North American Web site. They wanted a site that reflected their European influence yet spoke to an American audience. Using the primary color pallette from Austrian Air's Vienna-based Website (aua.com), we came up with a look and architecture that is both user-friendly and sophisticated. To give the site visual interest without overloading the already text-heavy pages with stock photography, we created interesting montage imagery for the top of each section from Austrian Air's promotional materials and pictures of Vienna (the destination for any Austrian Air flight from North America). Instead of a static destination map, we chose to build out an interactive map in Flash whose information comes from external text files and can therefore be updated easily.
